Packs flat. Lives in a cupboard. Hide it in the couch and nobody has to know it's there until the heat comes.
No explaining required.
The Phala folds down to almost nothing. Cupboard. Couch. Car boot. Nobody needs to know you own a rocket stove until the moment you assemble it in front of them — and then they need to know everything.
Slot it together, set it down, light it. The Phala doesn't ask for instructions — it asks for wood and about thirty seconds of your time.
Started it with wood, put 3 briquettes on and used the choke at halfway — it was burning too hot on full. Got an hour and a half to two hours out of it. Did the job. I'm impressed.
